There’s something about a tidy home that clears my mind – and it helps keep life running smoothly, too, since things are where you expect to find them, while cleaning is quicker too (and let’s face it, who wants to spend much of their time doing that?!). Of course, it’s also a boon to the aesthetics of a space – even ‘busy’ interiors are usually carefully curated, rather than actually in chaos.
Tackling the clutter needn’t be a trial, though. A simple, methodical process to edit your belongings, followed by some creative thinking on the storage front, will help you ensure your home looks at its best, and make it a more comfortable place to live.
This book considers what to store where and what best to store it in, as well as looking at the decorative potential of storage pieces, too. Split into four sections – storage by room, storage by type, storage by purpose and storage by style – the book covers everything from custom-built kitchen storage to repurposed vintage solutions for hobby rooms.
